WHO ARE FREEMASONS?

For any man seeking to improve his life, the Brotherhood of the Masons is an inspired choice.

Freemasonry is a unique institution that has been a major part of community life in America for over two hundred and fifty (250) years. It is America’s largest and oldest fraternity, and one that continues to be an important part of many men’s personal lives and growth.

While Freemasonry is a fraternity, Masonry itself is a way of life.   It is a rule of living to which a man pledges himself.    The Brotherhood of Man under the Fatherhood of God is primary—this means that its activities should always be designed to promote friendship, morality, and brotherly love.  We are men who’ve joined together to improve ourselves through the principal tenets and core values of the Masonic Order.  These basic tenets are Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth.  From these are derived the core virtues-Temperance, Prudence, Fortitude and Justice.

These four virtues are an essential part of masonry and we strive to live by them.  We always remember that brotherhood, harmony, and friendship are invaluable, and as Masons we should always be of service to others.

Masons are men who have joined together to improve themselves. This is accomplished through the principles and ceremonies of the fraternity and the application of these lessons in our homes, in our work, and in our community.  These are fundamental lessons, founded in justice, morality, truth, charity and the laws of God.  We endeavor to extend these Masonic Teachings into our daily lives so that we may be a positive influence wherever we are in the community or world.   The code of Freemasonry ultimately serves as a model for good conduct and a guideline for Freemasons to follow in order to live a moral and upright life.

Although Masonry is not a religion, members must have a belief in a Supreme Being. All religions are welcome. Masonry insists on toleration and the right for each member to think for himself in religious, social, and political matters. Like any fraternity, some of the Masonic information is privileged to only the members. However, Masonry is not a secret society. It does not hide its existence or attempt to conceal the purposes, goals, or principles of Masonry.

Our core belief is to take good men and make them better.  Masonry teaches that each man has a duty to make life better, not just for himself, but for everyone.  Masons make a difference every day, everywhere.  It is estimated that in the United States alone, Masons contribute 3 million dollars a day to charitable causes.

Most importantly, Masons are presented with the opportunity to grow as individuals,  are provided with the tools to make a difference, and are challenged to leave the world a better place.

IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO START YOUR JOURNEY TOWARD THE KIND OF MAN YOU REALLY WANT TO BE.

THE WORLD NEEDS YOU NOW.
